TA Focus for the month
The following weeks we will be moving onto the next block of skills. We are still focusing on attaining and maintaining our core body structure and position, and we are scaffolding our arms into our strokes whilst maintaining a good core body position.
White Squad –
For Freestyle we are incorporating a bent arm recovery after our push, sustaining our core.
For Backstroke we are increasing the number of shoulder rotations and arms while keeping our body straight.
For Breaststroke we are focusing on maintaining a longer and stronger streamline during our kick and glide phase; and
For Butterfly we are developing a stronger dolphin kick whilst maintaining our core position.
Silver Squad –
For Freestyle and Backstroke we are conditioning your catch and pull phase, in your streamline, for better propulsion.
For Breaststroke we are focusing a better streamline and core development; and
For Butterfly starting to develop the proper timing and rhythm with our stroke.
Black Squad –
For Freestyle and Backstroke we are strengthening and conditioning your upper body for better and faster pull and push for your propulsion.
For Breaststroke the focus is strength and streamline, with drill to help hone these characteristics; and
For Butterfly timing and distance for the stroke.
